Bermuda Cruise Highlights Preview

Well, we're back from Bermuda and although Rob had to go right back to work, I'm slowly getting into summer vacay mode. It's Day 3 since our return and I'm just getting to download our pictures. You'll have to wait a bit for my full report, but here is a preview of our trip.

Bermuda-via Royal Caribbean, Empress of the Seas
Rob and I sailed out of Norfolk, Va. I would highly recommend to anyone in the Tri-State area to try sailing out of Southern port. The main reason was the people where just nicer and more relaxed than the New York/New Jersey crowd. I think you know what I mean!

I'll give you a taste of:
The beaches, foliage, food and sites around our 2 ports in Bermuda: Hamilton and St. George. I also have pictures from our experience on the ship.

First Stop: Hamilton and a ferry ride over to Kings Wharf

Second Stop: St George

Our Ship:

After we docked, we spent an extra night up in Williamsburg, VA.

Bermuda, Here We Come!

Yeah, so Rob thought he would hate a cruise when we took one for our honeymoon last year, and now we are going out to sea again! (Needless to say, he LOOOOVED the cruise)

Today we are driving down to his uncle's house in Neavitt, MD and then tomorrow morning will continue down to Norfolk, VA where we will board and embark for Bermuda!

Last year, we sailed on Norwegian Cruise Lines to the Eastern Caribbean. Bermuda was the last stop on that cruise and hands-down our favorite. This year we are taking Royal Caribbean and sailing on the Empress of the Seas. We chose VA, merely as a something-different port and because we can stroll through Williamsburg when we come back.

As with the Derby, I will have plenty to share when we come back. My sympathies go out to those of you who are either in your last week of school or knee-deep in work projects. This trip is coming at a great time for me to celebrate the end to my teaching stint in Morristown and for Rob to get a break from a busy busy busy case load at work.
